We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Formulation Scientist to join our pharmaceutical research and development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing formulations for new and existing drug products. This role requires a deep understanding of physical chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, and regulatory requirements to ensure the safety, efficacy, and stability of drug formulations.
As a Formulation Scientist, you will work closely with cross-functional teams including analytical scientists, process engineers, regulatory affairs, and quality assurance to bring innovative drug products from concept to commercialization. You will be expected to conduct pre-formulation studies, select appropriate excipients, and develop robust formulations that meet target product profiles. Additionally, you will be responsible for scaling up formulations for clinical and commercial manufacturing, troubleshooting formulation issues, and preparing technical documentation for regulatory submissions.
The successful candidate should have experience with various dosage forms such as oral solids, liquids, injectables, and topical formulations. Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), International Council for Harmonisation (ICH) guidelines, and FDA regulations is essential. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment are key to success in this role.
